18A:54-4.1 Findings, declarations. 1. The Legislature finds and declares that: a. Career and technical education programs provide the high-level academic and technical skills needed to prepare students for success in college and the workplace; b. In addition to meeting the State's high school graduation requirements, career and technical education programs provide students with the opportunity to earn industry-recognized credentials and college credits; c. Career and technical education students often have the opportunity to participate in work-based learning experiences and in regional, State, and national skill competitions; and d. Recognizing the achievements of career and technical education students throughout New Jersey will highlight the importance of career and technical education in addressing the demands of business and industry for highly skilled and trained workers.L.2023, c.47, s.1.
