§ 18a-6-4-6

18A:6-4.6. Name plate and shield Each policeman, when on duty, except when employed as a detective, shall wear in plain view a name plate and a metallic shield or device with the word 'police' and the name or style of the institution for which he is appointed inscribed thereon.
