26:2H-12.93 Available, appropriate sources of federal funding. 4. The Commissioner of Health and the Commissioner of Human Services shall take steps to ensure available and appropriate sources of federal funding provided to states in response to the COVID-19 pandemic are made available to long-term care facilities. The commissioners may condition awards of funding made pursuant to this section on long-term care facilities providing regular reports on how the funding is used, including any evidence as may be needed to confirm the facilities are complying with all terms and conditions that attach to the funding, as well as information concerning steps the facility is taking to improve the facility's preparedness and response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including establishing and updating staff and patient safety and isolation protocols, expanding access to personal protective equipment and COVID-19 testing, and making improvements to the facility's equipment and physical plant that will help prevent the spread of communicable diseases within the facility.
