26:16-16 Certain persons not authorized to take action on behalf of patient. 16. A person shall not be authorized to take any action on behalf of a patient for the purposes of P.L.2019, c.59 (C.26:16-1 et al.) by virtue of that person's designation as a guardian pursuant to N.J.S.3B:12-1 et seq., a conservator pursuant to N.J.S.3B:13A-1 et seq., a health care representative pursuant to P.L.1991, c.201 (C.26:2H-53 et seq.), or a patient's representative pursuant to P.L.2011, c.145 (C.26:2H-129 et al.), except for communicating the patient's health care decisions to a health care provider if the patient so requests.
