Limitation of lien of civil recognizance All recognizances of bail made or entered into before any court, judge or magistrate having civil jurisdiction, upon which no actions or proceedings to enforce or collect the same shall have been prosecuted to final judgment within a period of 6 years after the same shall have been filed and recorded in the clerk's office, shall no longer be a lien or charge upon or against any real estate of which any principal or surety named in any such recognizance was or shall have been seized at the time of his entering into such recognizance, or at any time thereafter.
