2A:57-4. Effect of payment of award The payment of any gross sum pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall not result in any transfer of any title to the land upon which the partition wall is erected, nor shall the continued existence of the wall be the basis of any title to the land by adverse possession, but the division line between the lands of the adjoining owners shall remain the same as before any proceeding was instituted.
