30:5B-22. Providers; standards a. Each family day care provider registered by a family day care sponsoring organization shall be of good character with sufficient intelligence, stability, energy and maturity to care for children and shall guarantee that each child being cared for within the provider's home is under competent supervision at all times. The provider shall provide appropriate discipline, excluding physical punishment, as necessary. b. Each registered family day care home shall meet minimum life safety requirements, including adequate space, light, and ventilation, in addition to providing clean, nonhazardous facilities and furnishings.
