30:4-104. Post-mortem examinations The medical director of an institution may with the approval of the board of managers subject the body of an indigent patient to physical examination after death to determine the cause of mental ailment and the cause of death. Such examination may be made by the medical director personally or under his supervision on his written certificate of advisability, but shall not be of such character as to interfere with the appearance of the body when claimed for burial by relatives or friends.
