30:4-122. Money advanced for the return of inmates The state treasurer, upon the warrant of the comptroller, may advance to the chief executive officer of any institution subject to the jurisdiction of the state board, out of the annual appropriations for the support of any such institution, such part thereof as the chief executive officer may find requisite for the purpose of returning to said institution any patient, prisoner or inmate who shall leave such institution without first obtaining a parole, discharge or release therefrom, or who shall, after having received such parole or release, violate the terms, conditions and limitations thereof, and who in the judgment of the board of managers is unfit to be further at liberty.
