32:27-26. Construction and severability The provisions of this act and of agreements thereunder shall be severable and if any phrase, clause, sentence or provision of this compact is declared to be unconstitutional or the applicability thereof to any signatory party, local governmental body, agency or person is held invalid, the constitutionality of the remainder of this compact and the applicability thereof to any signatory party, local governmental body, agency, person or circumstance shall not be affected thereby. It is the legislative intent that the provisions of this compact be reasonably and liberally construed. L.1966, c. 149, Pt. I, Art. VI, s. 2, eff. June 18, 1966.
