38:16-2. Charges preferred; hearing Before any person mentioned in section 38:16-1 of this title shall be dismissed from any position or office mentioned in such section, charges shall be preferred against him, a copy of which shall be served upon him and a time set for the hearing of same. The person so accused shall have the right to be represented by counsel, and may produce witnesses and testimony in his own behalf.
