40A:4-81. Amendment of disapproved budget A governing body shall amend a disapproved budget in accordance with the instructions of the director except that the governing body may petition the local government board for a hearing upon the budget. If a petition for hearing is filed with the local government board, the director shall postpone the time required for final adoption to permit a reasonable opportunity for such hearing and redetermination.
