§ 43-10-32

43:10-32. Retirement for disability A member of such police force who shall have sustained a permanent disability by reason of an accident incurred at any time in the service, or by reason of disease contracted in the service, shall, upon the certificate of a physician designated for that purpose by the board having charge of the force, be retired upon a pension equal to one-half of his salary at the time of his retirement.
