43:10-46. 'County probation officers' defined 43:10-46. The words 'county probation officers' as used in this article shall mean and include the chief probation officer; and persons permanently appointed to act as probation officers, which appointments are made by the assignment judge of the Superior Court, as provided for in N.J.S.2A:168-5.
