43:16-10. Effective date This subtitle shall be effective in every municipality in which, on April fifteenth, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, a fund for the retirement or pensioning of policemen or firemen or either was in effect, and in all other municipalities only upon its adoption by a majority of the voters at a general election or special election called for that purpose.
