§ 43-18-4

43:18-4. Organization The board of trustees shall, at the first annual meeting thereof, and at each annual meeting thereafter, elect a chairman, secretary, treasurer and any other officers it deems necessary. The secretary may be a member of the board, or the clerk of the local board or department of health. The board of trustees shall fix the compensation of the secretary and treasurer. The chairman shall serve without compensation.
