43:19-4. Organization; officers' compensation The board of trustees shall, at its first meeting and at each annual meeting thereafter, elect a chairman, secretary and treasurer and any other officers it deems necessary. The board may fix a compensation for the secretary and treasurer, but the chairman of the board shall serve without compensation.
