§ 45-9-46

45:9-46. General corporate powers Upon making the certificate and causing the same to be so recorded and filed, the physicians so associating, their successors and assigns, shall, by virtue of this article, be a body politic and corporate in fact and in law, by the name stated in the certificate, and by that name they and their successors shall have perpetual succession and may, in all courts and places whatsoever, sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, answer and be answered unto, may make a common seal and use the same at pleasure, and may take, have, hold, receive and enjoy any real estate, in fee simple or otherwise, and any property of any description, real or personal, whether acquired by gift, grant, devise, bequest or otherwise, and may grant, convey, lease, assign, sell or otherwise dispose of the same for the purposes of the association.
