48:15-44. Company required to restore pavement disturbed by it Whenever any street railway or traction company shall disturb the pavement of any street for the construction, reconstruction, repair or removal of its tracks, such company shall, at its own cost and expense, restore such pavement including the base or foundation thereof to the same condition as before the disturbance thereof, to the satisfaction of the board or body having charge of such street.
