48:2-84. Nonapplicability to emergencies 12. The provisions of this act shall not apply when an excavation or demolition is undertaken in response to an emergency, provided that the One-Call Damage Prevention System is notified at the earliest reasonable opportunity and that all reasonable precautions are taken to protect underground facilities.
