§ 48-4-42

48:4-42. Operating motor vehicle without financial coverage; misdemeanor Any person who shall knowingly operate or permit to be operated any motor vehicle not at the time of such use covered by insurance or other financial coverage as herein provided for shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
