5:12-49. Words and terms: tense, number and gender 49. Words and terms: tense, number and gender. In construing the provisions of this act, save when otherwise plainly declared or clearly apparent from the context: a. Words in the present tense shall include the future tense. b. Words in the masculine shall include feminine and neuter genders. c. Words in the singular shall include the plural and the plural shall include the singular. L.1977,c.110,s.49.
