51:1-49. State superintendent and assistants; salaries The salary of the state superintendent shall be forty-five hundred dollars per annum. The state superintendent shall fix the salaries of his assistant superintendents and of his clerical assistants, in accordance with the schedules provided by the state civil service commission.
