Reweighing on complaint When the correctness of the net or gross weight of any commodity, for which a certificate of weight or measure has been issued by a public weighmaster, is questioned, the owner, agent, or consignee may, upon complaint to the state superintendent of weights and measures, or to one of his assistant superintendents, have said commodity reweighed by them gratis. A public weighmaster designated by the state superintendent may reweigh said commodity.
