52:27C-53. Effective date This act shall take effect on July first, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, except that appointments may be made and any action may be taken prior thereto in preparation for the operation of the department; provided, however, that nothing in this act contained shall be construed to apply to property now or hereafter subject to the jurisdiction or supervision of the Quartermaster-General.
