52:27D-118.30c Transfers authorized to provide loan. 8. The State Treasurer, in consultation with the Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs, is empowered to direct the Director of the Division of Budget and Accounting to transfer from any State department to any other State department sums as may be necessary to provide a loan for a term not to exceed 30 days to a municipality faced with a fiscal crisis, including but not limited to a potential default on tax anticipation notes. Extension of a loan shall be conditioned on the municipality being an 'eligible municipality' pursuant to P.L.1987, c.75 (C.52:27D-118.24 et seq.). L.1999,c.156,s.8.
