Functions, powers, duties continued and transferred All of the functions, powers and duties heretofore exercised by the Department of Energy and the commissioner thereof pursuant to P.L.1980, c. 68; P.L.1981, c. 302 (C. 26:2D-37 et seq.); section 15 of P.L.1971, c. 198 (C. 40A:11-15) as amended by P.L.1981, c. 551; P.L.1983, c. 115 (C. 48:7-16 et seq.); P.L.1983, c. 559 (C. 52:27F-16.1 et seq.); and N.J.S. 18A:18A-42 and N.J.S. 18A:18A-5 as amended by P.L.1984, c. 49 are transferred to and vested in the Department of Commerce, Energy and Economic Development and the commissioner thereof.
