52:14-15. Salaries payable biweekly Except as otherwise specifically provided by law, all officers and employees paid by the State shall be paid their salaries or compensation biweekly in a biweekly amount; provided, however, the State Treasurer and the Director of the Division of Budget and Accounting shall fix the time of payments in the biweekly amount so that payments will commence biweekly when there shall have been developed an interval of not more than 9 working days between the last day of the biweekly period for which the salary or compensation has been earned and the date of payment.
