52:14-27. Amount of fund The state treasurer, upon the warrant of the state comptroller, may, for the purpose aforesaid, pay to the treasurer of such board or institution or to the person or official acting as such, from the annual appropriation of state funds for its maintenance, an amount necessary therefor not exceeding two thousand dollars in any fiscal year, upon the application in writing by the management of such board or institution.
