§ 52-14-8

52:14-8. Appointment of certain officers by legislature in joint meeting All officers who, before and at the time when the present constitution of the state went into effect, were directed to be appointed by the council and general assembly in joint meeting, and whose appointment is not otherwise specifically provided for by the present constitution, may be appointed by the senate and general assembly in joint meeting.
