§ 53-2-2

53:2-2. Duty to execute legal process issued by senate or assembly The members of the state police, upon the request of the issuing body or the representatives of the issuing body, shall serve and execute, or assist in serving and executing, any summons, subpoena, warrant, commitment, attachment, order of arrest, or other process of any kind that may be issued by or by order of the senate, the general assembly, or by the senate and general assembly concurrently, jointly or in joint session, or by any committee of the senate or of the general assembly, or any joint committee of the senate and general assembly.
