54:4-122.1. Receipt and custody of municipal tax collections and other public moneys; purpose of Act The purpose of this act is to further protect and safeguard the proceeds of municipal tax collections and other public moneys while in the custody of the local officer who receives them and to make more certain the existing laws relating to such custody of municipal funds.
