9:23-7. Violation of compact, crime of the fourth degree Any person, firm, partnership, corporation, association or agency violating any provision of the compact is guilty of a crime of the fourth degree. If a violation consists of unintentional failure to satisfy a requirement of Article III of the compact in a timely and sufficient manner, subsequent satisfaction thereof and the receipt by the sending agency of a notice pursuant to subsection d. of paragraph 1. of Article III that the placement does not appear to be contrary to the interests of the child shall be deemed to cure the violation and no court or officer of this State shall impose any sentence or penalty on account thereof.
