Section 1-14-19 - Recount; recheck; candidate for district judge

If a recount or recheck is demanded on the election of a district judge and the judge of the district was a candidate for partisan office at the election, the chief justice of the supreme court shall designate a district judge who shall act in such proceedings. ANNOTATIONSThe 2015 amendment, effective July 1, 2015, clarified that the provision applies to a candidate for a partisan office; and after 'candidate', added 'for partisan office'.
