A. An individual who resigns as the treasurer of a political committee shall submit a written resignation statement to the secretary of state. An individual's resignation is not effective until the secretary of state receives the written resignation statement from the individual and a replacement treasurer is appointed for the political committee. If an individual is involuntarily removed from the position of treasurer, the political committee shall notify the secretary of state by amending the electronic registration maintained by the secretary of state.
