The legislature finds that the physical alteration or destruction of fine art, which is an expression of the personality of the artist, is detrimental to the reputation of the artist and artists therefore have an interest in protecting their works of fine art against such alteration or destruction. The legislature also finds that there is a public interest in preserving the integrity of cultural and artistic creations. History: Laws 1987, ch. 70, § 1.
