A. Subject to the authority of the state cultural affairs officer or his successor, the administrative and executive officer of the division and the museum is the 'director' of the division. B. The director shall be appointed by the state cultural affairs officer or his successor with the approval of the governor from a list of qualified candidates provided by the board. C. The position of director shall require previous experience in an administrative capacity in a museum of related character and a degree or the equivalent thereof in one or more of the fields of natural history and science from an institution of higher learning.
