The 'museum of space history division' is created within the cultural affairs department. The principal facility of the division is the 'museum of space history' located in Alamogordo. The site shall be held in the name of the state. The 2004 amendment, effective May 19, 2004, changed 'office of cultural affairs' to 'cultural affairs department' and designated Alamogordo as the location of the museum of space history. The 2001 amendment, effective June 15, 2001, substituted 'museum of space history division' for 'space center division' in the section heading and within the section.
