The special MacArthur service medal has been given with appreciation to known members or their survivors of the 200th coast artillery who were residents of the state at the time they entered the services of the United States and served under General Douglas MacArthur in the Philippine islands. It may be awarded to later-discovered eligible veterans or their survivors by the adjutant general. History: 1978 Comp., § 20-10-7, enacted by Laws 1987, ch. 318, § 69.
