A scholarship may be awarded to a school employee who:A. has not earned appropriate educational credentials to be licensed as a teacher by the public education department;B. has demonstrated financial need consistent with the criteria promulgated by the department; andC. has complied with other rules promulgated by the department to carry out the provisions of the Grow Your Own Teachers Act. ANNOTATIONSThe 2021 amendment, effective July 1, 2021, expanded the scholarship program eligibility to allow school employees, as defined in the Grow Your Own Teachers Act, to qualify; and after 'awarded to', changed 'an educational assistant' to 'a school employee'.
