A. Prior to the occupancy of a public facility by a charter school, the charter school shall notify the council of the intended use, together with such other information as required by rule of the council. B. Within sixty days of the notification to the council, the public school facilities authority shall assess the public facility in order to determine the extent of compliance with the statewide adequacy standards and the amount of outstanding deviation from those standards. The results of the assessment shall be submitted to the charter school, the school district in which the charter school is located and the council. C. Once assessed pursuant to Subsection B of this section, the public facility shall be prioritized and eligible for grants pursuant to the Public School Capital Outlay Act in the same manner as all other public schools in the state. D. As used in this section, 'public facility' means a building owned by the charter school, the school district, the state, an institution of the state, another political subdivision of the state, the federal government or a tribal government.
