A. In addition to other actions required by law, the department shall review all reports of abuse, neglect or exploitation against employees of providers that are licensed by or under contract with the department and shall investigate such reports as necessary to determine whether there is a reasonable basis to believe that an employee committed abuse, neglect or exploitation. B. If the department determines that abuse, neglect or exploitation has occurred, the department shall notify the employee and the provider of that determination, and such determination shall include a determination of whether the abuse, neglect or exploitation was the result of conduct by the employee, the provider or both.
