As used in the Special Education Ombud Act:A. 'council' means the developmental disabilities planning council;B. 'office' means the office of the state special education ombud;C. 'parent' includes a legal guardian or custodian who has custody and control of a student or an individual who has legal authority to make educational decisions on behalf of the student;D. 'state ombud' means the state special education ombud; andE. 'student' means a public school student receiving or seeking special education services.History: Laws 2021, ch. 53, § 2.
