Any court having jurisdiction to place delinquent children may place such a child in an institution in another state pursuant to Article 3 of the Revised Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children [32A-11-1 NMSA 1978] and shall retain jurisdiction as provided in Article 4 of that compact.History: 1953 Comp., § 13-16A-6, enacted by Laws 1977, ch. 151, § 6; recompiled as 1978 Comp., § 32A-11-6 by Laws 1993, ch. 77, § 212; 2023, ch. 118, § 4.
