ANNOTATIONSThe 2020 amendment, effective May 20, 2020, removed office location requirements for district judges in the ninth judicial district, and deleted 'At least one of the district judges shall be designated to maintain a principal office in Roosevelt county. As used in this section, 'maintain a principal office' means holding court or being available to hold court no less than one hundred forty days during each calendar year.'.The 2011 amendment, effective June 17, 2011, required at least one of the judges in the ninth judicial district to maintain a principal office in Roosevelt county. The 2006 amendment, effective July 1, 2006, increased the number of judges from four to five. The 2005 amendment, effective July 1, 2005, increased the number of judges from three to four.
