§ 48-5a-2

Any person or company entitled to a lien under this act [48-5A-1 to 48-5A-3 NMSA 1978] shall, within twenty-one days after the harvest is completed, file in the office of the county clerk of the county in which the crop was grown a statement in writing, verified by oath, showing the amount and quantity of the crop harvested, the price agreed upon for harvesting it, the name of the person for whom the harvest was done and a description of the land upon which the crop was grown. Unless the person entitled to the lien files that statement within the twenty-one day time limit, he shall be deemed to have waived his right to the lien. History: Laws 1989, ch. 89, § 2.
