Section 57-18-10 - Licensed weighmaster

A. A weighmaster license is required of any person who does public weighing or third-party weighing, except as provided in Section 57-18-18 NMSA 1978, or charges a fee for any weight determination. B. The issuance of a weighmaster license shall not obligate the state to pay to the licensee any compensation for his services as a licensed weighmaster. Each weighmaster shall sign each certificate in indelible markings at the time of issuance as provided for in Section 57-18-12 NMSA 1978. C. Weighmasters may designate any person under their employ who otherwise complies with the provisions of the Weighmaster Act to act for them as a deputy weighmaster. Licensed weighmasters shall forward to the director the names of persons designated as deputy weighmasters, together with fees as established under the provisions of the Weighmaster Act.
