A. Every bail bondsman and solicitor license issued under this article shall be dated and become effective as of date of issue, and shall continue in force for so long as the licensee remains qualified therefor, unless terminated by the licensee or suspended or revoked, subject to continuation annually by payment in advance of the continuation fee specified therefor in Section 101 [59A-6-1 NMSA 1978] (fee schedule) of the Insurance Code. Unless so continued the license shall expire as of midnight on April 30th of the current license effective period. B. Prior to continuation of license of a property bondsman the superintendent may require filing of the licensee's financial statement as of the end of the calendar year next preceding, and may require of all licensees such information in writing concerning operations under the license during the next preceding calendar year as the superintendent deems advisable.
