Section 6-10-43 - Interest and sinking-fund balances

If a balance remains in an interest or sinking fund of any county, municipality, school district or other political subdivision after the retirement and payment in full of the bonded indebtedness for which the interest and sinking fund was created, upon request of the governing body in charge of the expenditure of the funds, the secretary of finance and administration may approve the transfer of the balance to the fund requested by the county, municipality, school district or other political subdivision.
