The classification of pharmacist intern is established. An applicant for licensure as a pharmacist intern shall:A. be not less than eighteen years of age and not be addicted to the use of drugs or alcohol;B. have satisfactorily completed educational requirements established by rules of the board in a school or college of pharmacy approved by the board; andC. meet other requirements established by regulation of the board. ANNOTATIONSThe 2019 amendment, effective June 14, 2019, changed certain licensure requirements for pharmacist interns; and in Subsection B, after 'satisfactorily completed', deleted 'not less than thirty semester hours or the equivalent thereof' and added 'educational requirements established by rules of the board'.The 1997 amendment, effective June 20, 1997, substituted 'licensure' for 'registration' in the section heading and throughout the section; rewrote the introductory language; added the language beginning 'and not be' in Subsection A; and in Subsection B, inserted 'school or' and substituted 'approved by the board' for 'accredited by the American the introductory language; added the language beginning 'and not be' in Subsection A; and in Subsection B, inserted 'school or' and substituted 'approved by the board' for 'accredited by the American council on pharmaceutical education'.
